Using a highlighter

  1. Go to the ribbon to the Slide Show tab.
  2. Tick Use Presenter View checkbox.
  3. Start your Slide Show.
  4. Right click on the screen.
  5. Choose Show Presenter View option from the list.
  6. Black window appears.
  7. Click the small pen (Pen and laser pointer tools).
  8. Click Highlighter option.
  9. Since now you can highlight something on your slides during the presentation.

Tip: Highlighter works similar to Pen.

Using a pen

  1. Go to the ribbon to the Slide Show tab.
  2. Tick Use Presenter View checkbox.
  3. Start your Slide Show.
  4. Right click on the screen.
  5. Choose Show Presenter View option from the list.
  6. Black window appears.
  7. Click the small pen (Pen and laser pointer tools).
  8. Click Pen option.
  9. Since now you can write something down on your slides during the presentation.

How to edit footer?

  1. Go to the ribbon to the Insert tab.
  2. Click Header and Footer button.
  3. Everything on the Slide tab is about your footer.
  4. There is Footer text field. You can edit it to change the content of your footer.
  5. You can enable Date and Time or Slide number if you need them.
  6. On the right side if this dialog box you can see a preview of position in the footer which you currently editing.
  7. After editing is done click Apply for a single slide or Apply to All.

Inserting equations

  1. Go to the ribbon to the Insert tab.
  2. Click down arrow on Equation button.
  3. Try to find out some predefined equations template. It really helps. Click on it.
  4. If you want to start over click a Insert New Equation option on the bottom of the list.
  5. Notice that new Equation Tools menu appeared on the ribbon.
  6. Modify an equation using Structures from the Design tab.

Tip: Instead of writing the equation down you can insert a screenshot with the equation.

Inserting screen clipping

  1. Go to the ribbon to the Insert tab.
  2. Click Screenshot button.
  3. Choose Screen Clipping.
  4. The mouse arrow changes into a cross.
  5. Select the part of your screen which you want to capture.
  6. Part of your screen is inserted. Now you can format it as a common picture.

Tip: You can do it for multiple screens as well. It that way just select your screen before clicking the Screen Clipping button.

Starting your show from a particular slide

You have two different options to start your presentation from a particular slide.

Option 1:

  1. On the left side of the screen click the slide from which you want to start your show.
  2. Go to the Ribbon.
  3. Choose Slide Show tab.
  4. Click From Current Slide button.
  5. Slide show will start from the current slide and will go till the last slide. First slides will not be showed at all.

Option 2:

  1. Go to the Ribbon.
  2. Click Slide Show tab.
  3. Choose Custom Slide Show button.
  4. From the drop down list click Custom Shows option.
  5. New dialog box appears.
  6. Click New.
  7. Type Slide show name.
  8. Check Slides in presentation which you want to show.
  9. Click Add button.
  10. On the right side of the screen put your slides in order using down and up arrows.
  11. Click Ok and close the dialog box.
  12. To start click Custom Slide Show button again and choose it from the list.

Option 2 is way better. It gives you much more possibilities.
