How to save a PowerPoint presentation in OpenDocument Presentation extension?

  1. To keep the file format version of PowerPoint, you must first save it as a PowerPoint presentation (eg. in .pptx format), and then save it in a format OpenDocument Presentation (resp).
  2. Click the File tab.
  3. Click Save As.
  4. In the Save as type list, click OpenDocument Presentation (*.odp).
  5. Give the file a name and save it.

Tip: You can open both Microsoft (eg. ppt, pptx) and open (eg. odp) extension with PowerPoint. It is important for working in Linux and Windows operation systems.
